Well unless you live under a rock I imagine that you have heard that the Saints won the Super Bowl last night. I think the fact of them getting to the Super Bowl was enough to give most Louisianians a heart attack, the fact that they actually won I think has put most people over the edge with excitement. To say that everyone down here is thrilled is a bit of an understatement.
I watched the game at my mother in law’s house with my brother in law and my husband. I am kicking myself that I didn’t bring a video camera because their reactions when the interception was made, followed by the touchdown, nearly killed me. All three of them were on top of the tv screaming and I swear my husband was crying. It ranked right up there with when the Red Sox won the World Series and my dad was dancing around the living room screaming “we won! we won!”. I will never forget last night.
Saints fans are hardcore and I give them credit because most of them have stuck with their team for 40 some odd years even though they have lost more than they have won. They deserved last night.
Congrats to the New Orleans Saints, I’m glad I could be here and be part of such an important part of y’alls history. Who dat?!
